This technique will significantly shorten your vehicle wrap installation time. Using an air release tool will shorten the bubble removal process. The best solution is to grab an air release tool, poke a hole and push out the bubble. Bubbles bigger than a half-inch should not be pushed out. When dealing with bubbles, there are options available to installers other than pushing them out, which may cause more trouble depending on the size of the bubble. For example, wrapping around the hinges of a van door may cause wrinkles, but using a relief cut will allow the installer to easily install the film around the hinge. Relief cuts are incisions that prevent overstretching when wrapping around objects it puts less stress on the film and allows the film to go where you want it. Learn how to use relief cuts and air release tools If there are no wrinkles in the first place, the panel is much easier to squeegee. Some installers squeegee, see the wrinkles and take the heat gun, but it’s too late to prevent adhesive lines. To prevent adhesive lines, a technique used in training called “forming the film” allows you to conform the film first and squeegee it afterward.Wetting your squeegee results in less friction, allowing you to put more pressure on your squeegee.Be sure your squeegee direction is moving side to side in a straight line - this can be tricky when forming the fender but doing so will prevent air entrapment. Here are some tips to put into your everyday practice: Veteran installers who have been squeegeeing before air release was invented understand this well they had to make sure every squeegee pass counted, otherwise you’d be left with bubbles. However, these film technology improvements should not become a crutch, and installers will inevitably encounter films without air release technology. There are several do’s and don’ts to consider when installing vinyl wraps: Do Practice squeegee techniquesĪdvances in vinyl technology such as air release films have reduced the need for proper squeegee techniques. As always, check with your local manufacturer on the best way to install a particular film. From squeegees to heat guns, understanding the fundamentals of installing will help installers avoid common issues such as vinyl installation failures in the graphic and color change industries. Every installer, from advanced to novice, should have a firm grasp of the fundamental techniques to install properly and gain speed with quality.

New Orleans was one of the main ones, but other cities like Miami, Louisville, St. The shotgun house itself has a unique history. Though, conservationists who valued the historical and architectural significance of shotguns started to establish restoration plans in major cities across the country. They fled right to the mouth of the Mississippi River and settled in New Orleans, again transporting their shotgun house style. In the 1960s and 1970s, at the peak of urban renewal efforts, many of these shotgun houses were torn down. This caused many of the original structures constructed in the 19th and early 20th centuries to end up in disrepair. Remember that emotions relating to one event can influence your decisions elsewhere. For example, a disagreement with a loved one, a promotion at work, or an upcoming reunion could all spill over into your investment decisions. But first, here are a few things to watch out for. And we'll share some tips for balancing them. So we know emotion and logic need to work together when you make choices. How do you know when emotion is leading you in the wrong direction? Your advisor can help keep things in perspective during the good times and the not-so-good times and help you make decisions that are right for your goals. And you don't have to feel like you're making these life-changing decisions alone. It's about setting goals and putting a long-term plan in place that you'll be comfortable sticking to no matter what the market is doing. Successful investing isn't about reacting to what happens in the market day to day. It's important to zoom out and stay focused on the bigger picture. But on the way back up, things aren't that much easier, because you never quite know when the good times will return or how long they'll last when they do return. The night is always darkest before the dawn. When things feel chaotic, and we're only hearing bad news, it's easy to miss the fact that the market's lowest points are really the moments that hold the most opportunity for investors. And in those moments, our instincts might tell us to get out of the game entirely, even though that may not be what's best for our long-term plans. When the market does go into a downturn, we might feel anxiety, then fear, and eventually desperation and panic. It's a normal and expected part of the cycle. It feels like the bull market will last forever.īut that's the moment in the market cycle where we're actually the most vulnerable because the market will take a turn at some point. Our instincts might tell us to buy more because we feel invincible. We feel optimism, excitement, even euphoria. When the market is doing great, it feels great. That can make things tricky because sometimes the best thing to do is the opposite of what our instincts tell us to do. Our emotions can take us in all kinds of directions in response to what the market is doing. Investing is emotional because we're human. As a result, most of the game's core mechanics are fully explained in a very deliberate and easy-to-understand way, though that's not to say that there aren't still a few things that have the potential to confuse players.Įven after all of the tutorials, there's a good chance that some players will be left with questions, either about how to do certain things or when certain mechanics become available. Given the broad demographic that the game aims to cater for, it should come as no surprise to learn that Hogwarts Legacy is full of tutorials, particularly during the opening stages of the story. Review scores for the game have been incredibly impressive, with the average critic rating Hogwarts Legacy around the 85% mark. Though some are choosing to boycott the title due to controversial comments made by the woman whose work helped to inspire it, others couldn't be more excited to dive right in, and for very good reason. Let's just say that there a some towers that are dlc on mobile and you can really tell (although two of the worst are also dlc lol).Īnyway, kr 4 is well liked by some (including me), but it gets a lot of justified critique and it's definetly not the best one in the series as far as most are concerned. as for the towers, some are just clearly more powerfull then others. A lot of power of your defense comes from your heroes, with their being some absolutely broken heroes, some good but ouclassed ones, and some terrible ones. To go back to balance, kr 4 is the least well balanced. as for it's graphics: the graphics are really good, but since it runs on a different engine from the other three, there are more visual bugs then in the other installments. which is to say that it's kind of broken. because of these the balance in kr4 is a bit different. you instead have (18? i'll have to check) towers that don't branch, the player selects five of these to take with them into a stage. since instead of having four towers that branch to eight. it's the one that deviates most from the formula described above. the third is really pretty though.Īs for the fourth installment. and although the first kr definetly doesn't have the best graphics i think the second still standsthe test of time. In general, the later the installment, the stronger the heroes, though each game has it's outliers aswell as flops.Īs for graphics, the later games are better then the earlier games. Kr 3 has the same levelling and point system as kr 2, except that heroes now also give a hero spell, which is cast on a cooldown timer just like your other two. the heroes still have abilities, but now they are upgraded outside of stages with points, these points being gained from levelling up. although they don't start out as level 10, once they get to level 10 they will be so at the start of each stage. In kr 2 the level of your hero is retained between stages. this is the one installments where levels reset, and thus the only one where heroes are relatively weak at the start of a stage. as they level up they become more powerful and gain their abilities. In kr 1 the level of your hero resets upon entering a level, meaning that at the start of a stage you hero is always level 1. The differences between the first three installments mostly boils down to 3 main things:ġ: different levels, heroes, branch towers (also basic tower i geuss) and enemies.Ģ: the overall design and mechanics surrounding heroes, including their power relative to towers. Magic towers attack slow, but they do good damage and their attacks ignore al physical armor (but there are enemies with magical resistance). The archers deal melee damage at a fast rate.Īrtillery deals melee splash damage (they also ignore a portion of armor in most games i believe), making them good against groups of enemies, but cannot target flying enemies, and fire slow. the basic towers are: barracks, archers, artillery and mage.Īs mentioned the barracks spawn troops that engage and thereby block the advance of enemies, however their damage is usually bad, they are especially good against fast enemies. In the first three installments you have four basic towers that can be upgraded up to tier 3, afterwards they branch out to two different tier 4's, tier 4's have optional abilities that can be bought. There is also an upgrade system that allows you to stregthen your spells and towers outside of stages. one that places two troops on the battlefield and one that deals a lot of damage. you also have two spells that you can use on a cooldown timer. But you also have hero, heroes are an important source of damage early in a stage, they have abilities, and most heroes can block enemies (though not all). Your main source of damage comes (more or less) from the towers. Kr is a tower defense game where you're main ability for stalling enemies comes from barracks towers that engage in melee with ground based enemy troops. i'll outline the main differences aswell as the general aspects, the good points and some bad points. Their are quite a few differences between the four installments of the series. The resolution of the 3D grid is determined from the Leaf Count or Azimuth/Altitude Band values. The canopy is then creating by determining the iso-surface at an appropriate threshold value. Generates a 3D volumetric grid based on the current canopy radius and height, and then uses a Perlin noise function to generate values in each cell. See Geodesic polyhedron for more information on geodesic subdivision. Geodesic subdivision occurs in incremental steps, so you may need to change the Leaf Count value a lot to see any changes. This option divides the sphere into eight spherical triangles, then iteratively subdivides each triangle based on the square root of the Leaf Count or the given Geodesic Segmentation value. See Generating Equidistant Points on a Sphere for more information on the Fibonacci spiral. This is a surprisingly simple method, but seems to give the best approximation of equal-area subdivision than any other method I have found, and accurately represents the Leaf Count. This uses a Fibonacci spiral or lattice to distribute points from the apex down over the surface of a sphere. This option divides a sphere into roughly equal-area patches based on the square root of Leaf Count or Azimuth/Altitude Band values, and then randomly locates a point within each patch. The total number of random points is controlled by the Leaf Count value. This option generates a completely random set of azimuth and altitude values, except for the first 5 points which are distributed pseudo-randomly to form a basic diamond between base and apex to ensure a reasonable shape even with only a very small number of points. If no subdivisions are selected, the large flat facetted surfaces will be edged with sketchy lines and the Bushiness value will instead generate additional leaves along the edges. This means that leaf size and density is stepped incrementally, so you may need to change the Leaf Count value a lot to see any changes. As the subdivision is recursive, the total number of leaves can quickly blow out so the subdivisions are dynamically limited by face size and number. This option allows you to select from a range of polyhedra based on Platonic and Archimedean Solids, and then subdivide their surfaces into triangular leaves. Figure 4: The various point/surface distribution methods. Alternatively, you can also use various spatial algorithms to calculate values over a 3D volumetric data grid and then generate the canopy as an iso-surface. Another is to distribute random, semi-random and ordered points over a sphere and then connect those points into facets to form a surface. One is to use some standard polyhedra and subdivide their surfaces into triangular leaves. There are a number of ways you can generate abstract but natural-looking geometric canopy shapes. However, it is probably worth explaining some aspects of the various geometric representations. Each procedural generator requires a fair number of controls for the various parameters that govern the results, so simple experimentation is the only real way to gain an understanding of what each one does. Thus, the hope is that having tools that make modelling and describing it relatively simple and straightforward may motivate more analysis tools to better support the dynamic shading effects of deciduous vegetation.įigure 3b: The seasonal variation settings dialog box.Īs shown in Figure 2 above, the app can generate both simple abstract geometric representations as well as much more realistic trees that use mapped textures to model the foliage (thanks to proctree.js - see below). Unfortunately there are very few tools available that can viably model or describe these dynamic seasonal shading effects, which in turn means that most building analysis software either ignore it or provide only limited means to deal with it. Figure 2: The types of low-poly procedural tree you can generate. Also, the leaf canopy needs to be able to vary its colour and opacity across the year to properly represent the dynamic seasonal effects of deciduous trees that shed and then regrow their leaves annually. To be used effectively in analysis, tree geometry needs to be as simple and light-weight as possible, but still sufficiently configurable to reasonably represent the size, shape and shading effects of existing or likely trees on a site. The aim of this app is to generate reasonably configurable low-polygon parametric / procedural trees for use with BIM and building performance analysis models. The Chi Sigma chapter also oversees two Affiliate organizations, the Chi Sigma Rhoers, and the Chi Sigma Philo chapters. Today, the Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter has grown exponentially and currently is comprised of over 50 dedicated, hardworking, and educated women! The Chi Sigma chapter is now the governing chapter for three undergraduate chapters: Delta Eta, Miles College, Xi Mu, University of Alabama, Birmingham, and Delta Chi at Talladega College. The initial projects of the chapter were re-establishing the sorority’s membership in the Birmingham Alumni Chapter of the NPHC and promoting the mission of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. In November of 1997, three graduates of the Xi Mu Chapter at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Cindy Gilyard, Leticia Love Woodruff, and Catina Passmore, along with two UAB graduate students who were members of the Alpha Zeta Sigma Alumnae Chapter, Griena Knight, and Zevia White, re-activated the Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter. Sorors Rutha Heard and Mamie Jordan worked diligently to maintain the public presence of Sigma Gamma Rho in Birmingham by representing in local chapters of national programs the sorority sponsors as well as maintaining membership in the Magic City chapter of the Links. The chapter had the honor of hosting the 15th Boule December of 1940 as well as hosting the Southeast Regional Conferences during March of 1950, 1964, and 2012.Ĭhi Sigma became inactive in 1995 due to members retiring and moving away or passing on to the Omega Rho Chapter. Many of our founding chapter members achieve multiple accomplishments within the sorority on the local, regional, and national levels. The additional charter members were Alta Benning, Essie Bennett, Josie Ward Brown, Alma Coprich Cole, Alma Dickinson, Lucille Lay, Edna Prowell, Belzora Ward, and Eloise Ward West. The Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on November 11, 1938, by Soror Rubye Peake Watts Hall, who was serving as the Grand Syntakes at this time.
